MORNING 3rd December 22 | I Take Towel Away So That Carlo Can Make Friends But He Cries

It was a calm morning on December 3rd, 2022, when little Carlo, the baby monkey, began his day wrapped tightly in his favorite towel. The soft fabric had become his comfort, his security, and his tiny world. Every morning, he would cling to it as though it were his mother’s warm embrace. But today, I decided to take the towel away—hoping that without it, Carlo might open up and start making friends with the other young monkeys around him.

At first, he sat quietly, staring at the other babies playing and climbing nearby. But as soon as he realized his beloved towel was gone, his tiny face twisted in confusion and sadness. Moments later, tears welled up in his eyes, and he began to cry—softly at first, then louder, his voice trembling with fear and longing. It was heartbreaking to watch. He didn’t understand that this small step was meant to help him grow stronger, to teach him that there are friends and comfort beyond his towel.

The other monkeys looked at him curiously, some approaching with gentle touches and soft chirps, as if to invite him into their play. Slowly, Carlo’s cries softened. He sniffled and watched them climb and tumble in the sunlight. Though still unsure, he took one small step toward them. That single step was the beginning of his courage—a sign that he might one day trust the world beyond his towel.

That morning was full of tears, tenderness, and a quiet lesson in bravery. Little Carlo’s cries weren’t just sadness—they were the sound of a baby learning to face life’s first challenges, one trembling step at a time.
